Abstract

Ninety years after the publication of the report on Giacomo Guidi’s journey to Caria (Turkey) in 1921, Alessandro Della Seta’s notes were found in an antiques store in Arezzo. At that time Della Seta was Director of the Italian Archaeological School in Athens and leader of the 1921 expedition. The aim of this paper is to transcribe and comment on the pages on Iasos, which have never been published. These pages provide detailed de- scriptions of same monuments, with particular attention to the mainland walls.
