Abstract

The new drawing and photos of the Warrior stele made by the author have allowed a complete re.examination of the famous monument from vetulonia. The Corinthian Helm, type Pflug B, confirms the traditional chronology in the last quarter of the 7th cent. B.C.. The first name of the dead warrior has been recognized as Auvele, while his family name remains doubtful (Feluskes?). The final part of the text is definitely corrupted.
