Abstract
This paper is a review of the results obtained from the pollen analyses of southwestern Ukraine in relationship to Early Holocene archaeological sites. Additional data from test-trenches opened in their neighbourhood are utilised to obtain any possible information on the palaeovegetation of the region. Although relationships between the two are clearly visible, at the present state of the research they cannot be proved.
