Abstract

Il Gruppo Fluido fu una delle ultime e più importanti officine ceramiche a figure rosse operative nell’Ager Faliscus tra la seconda metà del IV secolo a.C. (340 a.C.) e l’inizio del III secolo a.C. (280 a.C.). Pertanto, l’obiettivo principale di questo saggio è, da un lato, quello di presentare un’analisi iconografica di un’oinochoe falisca a figure rosse datata intorno al 330-320 a.C. e attribuita al pittore di Firenze 4099 del Gruppo Fluido che è rimasto inedito nelle collezioni del Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Firenze dall’inizio dell’Ottocento e, dall’altro, quello di posizionare il vaso, del tutto privo di informazioni riguardanti la sua provenienza, all'interno delle produzioni vascolari del Gruppo Fluido che raffigurano scene di toilette femminile.

The Fluid Group was one of the last and most important red-figure ceramic workshops operating in the Faliscan area between the second half of the 4th century B.C. (340 B.C.) and early 3rd century B.C. (280 BC). Therefore, the main objective of this paper is to examine, on the one hand, an iconographic analysis of a red-figure Faliscan oinochoe dated around 330-320 B.C. and attributed to the painter of Florence 4099 of the Fluid Group that has remained unpublished in the collections of the National Archaeological Museum of Florence since the beginning of the 19th century and, on the other hand, to place this vase, which lacks information regarding its provenance, within of the vascular productions of the Fluid Group that depict representations of a female toilet.
